Before you publish: the vehicle video checklist

From the price to the contact link: make this final check part of every vehicle video.

Match the vehicle details to the listing

If you also advertise the vehicle on mobile.de or AutoScout24, open those listings during your final check. The price, mileage and equipment should match the video.

Check the make, model, year, mileage, price and currency against the current listing. Look for typos in the description too. A short description with specific features is more useful than a long string of generic sales claims.

Read the text in the finished video, not only in the input form. Is the important information readable? Is there enough time to take it in? Shorten supplementary descriptions if they distract from the vehicle or its key details.

Watch the complete video

Play the video from start to finish. Check the cover, sequence, framing and transitions. Make sure every shot belongs to the same vehicle and that cabin and detail shots fit naturally into the sequence.

Review the result with sound on and off. The essential information should remain understandable without music. Use only images and music whose use is cleared for the intended publication.

Test the path to an inquiry

A call to action should lead to a specific next step, such as an inquiry or a test drive. Open the link yourself and check that it reaches the correct page and works on a smartphone.

Before confirming publication, check the selected social account and visibility. Open the finished post after publishing. That lets you verify not just the upload, but also that the video, caption and contact path work together.
